Counter counterpoint: I like cavities in the faces of tires that are filled up with white rubber.

Stickers seem like a way of recognizing that tires need to be more decorative and that modern sidewalls are too small, and going about fixing that the wrong way.

Older trucks need white lettered tires.

It depends on the car for me. The first modern car I saw with this set up was this that I made a post about in 2015:

Since then I think the trend has jumped the shark because just last week I saw a minivan with white tire letters which is just fuckin unacceptable.

New trend alert: tires with white walls of dry-erase board material. CUSTOM SHARPIE TIRE DESIGN. BOOM.

I want tire manufacturers to make colored tires. I’ve always wanted an orange pair of tires for some reason. I like that hello kitty sticker you added too.

The real question here is: do you live somewhere that spells tires with a Y, or are you trying to be fawncy?

I like this on race cars or at least track-oriented street cars. It’s just a form of advertising.

As with any other ad decal, on a normal road car it’s excessive IMO.

love me them white letter tires, everything i own gets them. for whatever reason, the large black faces of tires(sidewalls) that dont have anything on them, letters, or whitewalls, just screams “cheap brand x” that dont take enough pride to call out what they are. blackwalls just look generic.........

I agree - I do like white lettering in many cases, (skip it on luxury sedans though, that just looks cheap.)
